
Yakov Kolontarov is an Israeli/American actor, director, writer, and producer. He started his career as a bodybuilder then as animation filmmaker. Born December 23, 1995 in Ashkalon, Israel, Yakov with a keen interest in building a body with full package and seemingly hungry for success, parlayed his notoriety as a two-time 1st place winner in Teen Bodybuilding Division in 2012 and 2013 this turned Yakov and his brothers into a production Kolontarov Brothers Production. Then started producing and directing animations for 3 year as short films that was successful. The animation show ended in 2011.
After a series of horrible starts in his short film productions, Yakov got an idea to make a short film called "Billion Dollar Disk" (2012), he directed and it was a success, it received positive reviews from lots of critics around the web. Several more scripts that Yakov Kolontarov wrote, directed, produced, and edited was "Burial Bullets" (2013) and following that was him playing as mob leader in short film that was based on a true story "Mobsters Betrayal" (2013) Yakov wrote that script, and audience loved it and it also won Best Narrative at the Film Festival. Most of the help he receives from the production is from his younger brother Lior Kolontarov.
In September 20, 2013 Yakov teamed up with his brother Shalom Kolontarov to make a short film called "Money Talks Bullshit Walks". Recently he made his first movie "NYC Finest" (2014) which was Action, Thriller and it received positive reviews on festivals. He also recently won a Filmmakers festival for best "supporting actor" for "I SAW A DEMON" short film. He is currently working on his second movie.
